The Chinese Belly

During the summer in China, there's no doubt that you will have a sighting of a belly or two. Chinese men young and old, large and small, often bare their bellies by pulling their shirts up over their stomachs. As far as I'm aware, the belly baring is to increase airflow and lower the overall body temperature. When walking around at lunch time, I've often seen groups of men completely shirtless while eating hot and spicy dishes. Nevertheless, I'm still amazed at the frequency and lack of modesty in all shapes and sizes.
