Shenyang

Where I Lived (2011-2013):
Shenyang (沈阳 Shěnyáng) is the capital and largest city of Liaoning Province in Northeast China. Shenyang was first used by the Manchu people as their capital in the 17th century and is today the biggest city in the Northeast (Dongbei). Along with its nearby cities, Shenyang is an important industrial centre in China, and serves as the transportation and commercial hub of China's northeast–particularly with Japan, Russia, and Korea. From Shenyang, travelers can fly to many domestic and international destinations (Beijing - 1hr 30min; Shanghai - 2hr 20min; Seoul, ROK - 1hr 40min). Shenyang is also not far from the border of North Korea (Dandong - 3hr 30min driving).

Must See Sights in Dongbei:
